biomorfic ceramics, silicon carbide, stromal fibroblasts implantation material.
This article presents the study’s results of the interaction biomorphic ceramics based on silicon carbide with tissue culture of the osteogenic stromal stem cells in the experiment.
Bio SiC shows no inhibitory effect on osteogenic progenitor cells of bone marrow. This addition to bio SiC cell culture accompanied by the formation of multilayer colonies. Medium growth of it was 43 ± 8.5 %.
In these series of experiment, the cloning efficiency was 22.6 ± 5.9. This indicator shows the potential of the cell culture differentiation with the presence of implantation material. The ability of cells to multiply and differentiated to form colonies with the presence of bio SiC is the main proof of no adverse effect on cell culture and high biocompatibility of the material.
Comparing these results with those of the control group (average number of formed colonies was 195.3 ± 31.2, the average number of multilayer colonies was 93.7 ± 59.5, average growth – 46.3 ± 27.2) despite the lower values established no statistically significant difference between them. So it turned out that the addition of bio SiC has no cytotoxic effects on stromal fibroblast culture, and allows this material to demonstrate high levels of proliferation and differentiation of cells in culture.
